All the sorcerers being killed off until only someone called Haitla is left over on the list (which was visible on a computer display) / two girls discussing at a boarding school or hospital or prison to take to much 'bad penicilline' in order to pretend being seriously sick and thus getting off duty / me never wanting to be anything less than one of your (best?) friends if you read this / a public male model contest to save the Karstadt shopping centres which will file for chapter 11 soon / ...are among the more memorable elements of my dreams in the last days.

Meeting more and more people who tell me they voted for me in the local elections and would have wanted to see me in the city council is one of the more memorable recurring moments in my days. Oh, and Ben&Jerry's Cookie Dough is one of the more memorable ice creams

Tonight I dreamt of G., for the first time since I don't know when. I had been to the post office, to suggest changes in organization and in the software they used, talking to the young new regional postmaster general (reminding me of David Thewlis) and his deputy, leaviing a good impression and then the building, where I nearly crashed into her. She was as fine as usual, whatever that means, with the accessibility of M. (LJ e. - talk yes, visits no), a shape closer to M. (LJ e. - somewhere between M and M, I suppose) and the stability closer to C. (whose LJ nick also starts with e.). She told me, among other things that she was not just annoyed by the software the post office used, but also by server glitches at Travian (something I dont play, but 100.000 others do) and mentioned that for compensation there is the playing of KingsTale. I was surprised that she would be playing there as it isn't in public beta yet and said the only place she could have probably read about it would the myraworld forums at http://myraforum.de.vu and she blushed. Sweet. The idea that G. would be following what's up with Myra after all that time was a pleasant one. She had done a bit back in the days when she was living in the same house as that Myra friend of mine who is now exchanging more mails and IM-Chatlines with I. than with anyone else. Anyway. While this mioght mean nothing to you, dear reader, for me it was noteworthy enough to write it down before I forget it again.
Meanwhile my eyes get closer to 21Torr and maybe my job perspective should too. After loosing 40% revenue last year and some compensatory measures and layoffs they'll probably be hiring again. Hmm... We'll see. Off to Aschenhuette first, to dance into the 1st of May, in the Black Forest. ( What's bugging me... )

If you can't sleep or sometimes prefer a good night's non-sleep to the possible nightmares which might haunt you, if you lie awake, thinking of what might befall you in the near or far future... think again. This BBC-report from today got me thinking, at least.

Future wishes of my s.o. and me ( Read more... ) will probably not come true, therefore we try to get along, even though this seems to be like stale bread on Melville's most famous Pequod, without even any substitute for something which could be "spreadably delicious" (click to win a whole case of the real stuff, don't settle for replacement sex).

Is your life a complete misery, a story of how you loose everything you started out with, everything in the inheritance bestowed upon you? Spent the riches of your forefathers? Worried about lost treasures? Or do you ask yourself: Is any treasure on Earth worth loosing your eternal inheritance?. Well, even if your problems are as large as mine, and you're loosing a whole state (not Illinois, where Barak Obama started to win a race he'll loose), rather like Etrorien on myraworld, a topic I've touched on before, as fechtbuch will remember, and which comes to haunt me again, even though I enlisted anysidora, ellifaey, gwenw and lenew to help me in this matter. But even if, like me, you're loosing a state, "blame not fortune", as Niccolo wrote, who -by the way- was plagiarizing Angelo Poliziano and Marsilio Ficino largely, as Peter Godman showed (not on BC, but on LibraryThing), with a lot of paid help by me. A matter I can not accept help in, and an effort which will not get lost in the fray of other activities, is tackling the question whether One of Us can make it to the top? From the top came two Presidents to visit Tuebingen (German link) yesterday. The President of Italy and the Bundespräsident of Germany, who discussed the Future of Europe with students, who presented 13 topics for discussion and improvement (German link). Alas, I wasn't specifically invited and didn't invite myself... but after the reception and the discussion (my pic will follow here) they came to Bebenhausen to eat... a wise discussion because Guide Michelin and Gault Millau agree that here you find the best gourmet food for many miles around. Have a nice meal... and while not forgetting to eat, do not forget to sleep either, something I'll try too, in the remaining 3 1/2 h (see icon and above).
